Poojary performs Urulu Seve, says “Ready to Sacrifice my Life for the sake of Water”
Mangaluru: “I am ready to sacrifice my life for the sake of water”, said senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojary in a press meet held at the Shri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple, Kudroli here on September 18.
Janardhan Poojary along with MLA J R Lobo and senior Congress leader Vijay Kumar Shetty held prayers at the Kudroli Shri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple. later Poojary performed the Urulu Seve.
Addressing the mediapersons Poojary said, “We have offered prayers to get a positive judgment on the Cauvery water issue. People in three states are not happy and are fighting for water. On September 20, the Supreme court will give the judgment. If the judgment will be negative, there will be problems in all the three states, there will be violence between the states, people from other states will not be safe. The supreme court judge is a human being and he should think of the betterment of the people and do justice to the people of all the three states”.
Poojary further said, “I prayed to God to give a good mind to our CM so that he will not think of his own benefit, and his chair. When the CM goes to the Supreme court for the hearing, he should understand the problems of the people of all the three states. The CM should not fail in his decision. Power is not important, so the CM should think in the interest of the people and create history by doing justice. This is a golden opportunity for the CM to prove your mettle. It is the duty of all the citizens to work for the larger interest of the country”.
