Pork Pieces Allegedly Thrown in Nagoor Mosque Compound
Kundapur: Tension prevailed in Nagoor near Kirimanjeshwar under the Byndoor Police Station limits after two youth allegedly threw pieces of meat that appeared to be pork inside the Noor Jamia Juma Mosque compound late night on January 14.
The incident came to light on January 15 at 5:30 am when Saleem who came for the morning Namaz found the ear and legs of the pig. He immediately informed the Mosque administration committee.
According to the CCTV footage on January 14, at around 10.55pm, two youth had arrived on a bike and throw the ear and legs of the pig inside the compound of the Mosque.
A complaint has been registered in the Byndoor Police station. The Mosque management committee has handed over the CCTV footage to the police.
A large number of policemen have been deployed in Nagoor, Gangolli and other places as a precautionary measure. The situation is under control.
