PR Event on Road Safety by St Aloysius College
Mangaluru: The Department of Journalism, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organised a PR Event on Road Safety and Regulations titled ‘Safe on Roads’ on 31st July 2018 at 2.00 PM in Dr P Dayananda Pai – P Sathish Pai Govt First Grade College Mangalore, Carstreet, Mangaluru. The Chief guest of the event was Mrs Poornima, Inspector of Motor Vehicle Department.
Mrs Poornima gave an oration to the students of 1st year BA about the rules and regulations that should be followed while on road. She also pointed out the cause behind road accidents. She included that most of the accidents that has been filed were among educated people rather than uneducated people. The Inspector expounded the importance of helmet and seatbelt while driving. Mr Rajashekara Hebbar, Principal of the college and Mrs Jayashri, from the Department of English were also present for the event. Eighty students attended the event and it winded up with an interactive session.
