Pramod Madhwaraj gets B-Form from JD(S) to Contest from Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Constituency
Udupi: Former minister Pramod Madhwaraj has been finalized as the Congress-JD(S) government candidate to contest from the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency.
The JD(S) Supremo H D Devegowda has handed over the B form to Pramod Madhwaraj to contest from the Udupi–Chikkamagaluru constituency on Thursday, evening at Bengaluru said Yogish Shetty Udupi district president.
“I had given the report to CM HD Kumaraswamy explaining the present situation of the JD(S) party in Udupi district during the JD(S) meeting held at Bengaluru. Pramod Madhwaraj has been selected to be the candidate of JD(S) and Congress party. Pramod Madhwaraj may resign from the Congress party and join the JD(S) soon. The exact details will be released to the public on Friday, March 22,“ said Yogish Shetty.
According to the Udupi district Congress President Ashok Kumar Kodavoor the Congress and the JD(S) are facing the elections unitedly and thus there is no question of differences. The party state leaders will decide whether Pramod should join JD(S) or not, he said.
