Pramod Madhwaraj inaugurates ‘Amritha Vaibhava’ office
Udupi: The welcome committee office ‘Amritha Vaibhava’ was inaugurated near the MGM Grounds on Sunday, February 5.
Mata Amritanandamayi, also known as Amma, will be visiting Udupi on February 25 during which she would give darshan to devotees and render discourses.
The programme began with an invocation, Shridhar welcomed the gathering Brahmacharini Mangalamratha Chaithanya of Mangaluru along with District minister in-charge Pramod Madhwaraj inaugurated the office by lighting the lamp.
In his message, Pramod Madhwaraj extended all support from the government. He also assured of providing food grains for the prasada (night dinner) from the endowment temples of the district. He said that, he will discuss with the Endowment minister on Monday during the assembly sessions. He also assured of inviting the governor for the programme as the chief guest.
Brahmacharini Mangalamratha Chaithanya graced the occasion. Amma will deliver a spiritual discourse followed by a session of meditation and Bhajans. This will be followed by the Darshan where Amma will grant individual solace to all with her loving embrace.
Tokens will be distributed to obtain Amma’s Darshan. Token will be given free of cost for the darshan and tokens are must for infants too. Arrangements for food have been made at the venue. Mata Amritanandamayi is visiting Udupi first time, about 50-60 thousand devotees are expected to attend the programme. Bus facility will be made available during the late evenings to important places in the city.
Former MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Ananda C Kunder and Shridhar Shetty were also present.
