Prashanth Shetty (23) killed in accidental gunfire
Byndoor: A 23-year-old youth was killed after his friend accidentally fired a gun at Maikodu, Heroor Panchayat limits here, on June 17.
The deceased has been identified as Prashanth Shetty (23) from Halageri, Byndoor.
Speaking to Mangalorean.com, SP Annamalai said that on the night of June 17, Ankith Shetty along with his four other friends, including Prashanth Shetty, were getting ready to go for hunting. All of them had gathered at Ankith’s house during the night. Ankith was carrying his father Sitharam Shetty’s gun for hunting. While Ankith was loading the gun, it accidentally fired and the bullet pierced Prashanth’s chest.
Prashanth was rushed to the hospital but he breathed his last. Ankith Shetty has been arrested by the Byndoor police.
A case has been registered in the Byndoor police station.
