Preparations to Welcome Rahul Gandhi to Kaup in Full Swing – Vinay Kumar Sorake

Udupi: Preparations are in full swing in Kaup for the arrival of the National Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, March 20 said Vinay Kumar Sorake former minister and Kaup MLA. He was speaking at a press meet held at the bPress Club on Monday, March 19.

After arriving in Mangaluru, Rahul will fly by helicopter to Kaup in Udupi district to attend a programme by the Congress Seva Dal. He will inaugurate the political academy at Yermal at 12:45 pm. Later he will flag off the roadshow from Thenka Yermal to Padubidri. Rahul will later address the Public gathering at Padubidiri city. After the public meeting at Padubidri, he will hold a road show from Mulki to Surathkal. There will also be another road show from Joythi Circle to Nehru Maidan, where he will address another public meeting at 5:30 p.m.

After completing the three days AICC planning session, Rahul Gandhi’s first visit is to the Kaup Assembly Constituency of Udupi district. More than fifteen thousand party workers are expected to take part in the public meeting to be held at Padubidiri.

The Central and state leaders have carried out the inspection of the arrangements made to welcome the Congress national president Rahul Gandhi. Prior to Rahul’s visit, central SPG (special protection group) arrived in Kaup and scrutinized the venue.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Karnataka Congress president G. Parameshwar, AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal and senior leaders M. Mallikarjuna Kharge, M. Veerappa Moily and others will attend the programmes.

Janardhan Thonse district Congress president, Naveenchandra Shetty Kaup Block Congress president, Wilson Rodrigues, ZP member, Prashanth Jatanna CDC member, Deepak Kumar Yermal, Kaup Divakar Shetty, Mahabala Kunder and others were present.
