Preparations Underway for Narendra Modi’s Visit to Mangaluru

Mangaluru: The Nehru Maidan is getting ready to welcome PM Narendra Modi who will be arriving in the city on April 13 at 4:00 pm to address the party workers. A huge stage is being set up at the Nehru Maidan and the seating arrangements for over a lakh people is also being made.

Security has also been beefed up in the city and at the venue. The police officials are busy in training the police personnel and guiding them to carry out their duties on April 13, during PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Nehru Maidan, Mangaluru.

Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil speaking to mangalorean.com said, “On April 13, PM Narendra Modi will visit Mangaluru. We have been preparing for the PM’s visit from the past one week to maintain law and order in the city. We are monitoring the venue very closely. We have installed CCTV cameras to monitor the activities. CCTV cameras have also been installed at the Railway station and nearby bus stands”.

Sandeep Patil also said, “To maintain the law and order in the city during the visit of PM Narendra Modi, “We have deployed 5 SPs and DCPs, 10 DySPs and ACPs, 36 Police Inspectors, 65 Police Sub Inspectors, 147 Assistant Sub Inspectors, 1207 Head Constables and Police Constables. A total of 1472 police personnel have been deployed. The Bomb-detecting squad is also deployed to monitor the situation in and around the venue”.
