President of HJV Haleangadi Unit Sanath Commits Suicide
Mangaluru: The president of Hindu Jagarana Vedike’s Haleangadi unit has allegedly committed suicide at his residence here, on July 11.
The deceased has been identified as Sanath (35), a resident of Haleangadi.
The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained. The Mulki police have reached the spot for further investigations.
According to sources, Sanath Kumar was a financier. His neighbour Srinivas Bhat always kept an extra key at Sanath’s house when his family would go out. In the morning on July 11, Sanath went to his office and returned home in the afternoon as he usually did. After some time, he took Srinivas’ house key, went to his house and hanged himself to the ceiling.
The police have recovered a death note in which Sanath claimed responsibility for his death and also said not to trouble his family members or the neighbours.
It is suspected that financial crisis led Sanath to take the extreme step.
A case has been registered in the Mulki police station and investigation is on.
