President Kovind felicitates Pejawar Swamiji on his 80th anniversary of Sanyasa Deeksha
Udupi: On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Sri Vishvesha Theertha Swamiji’s Sanyasa Deeksha the president of India Ramanath Kovind visited Pejawar Math Udupi and felicitated the Swamiji on December 27.
The president arrived at the Adi-Udupi Helipad and proceed directly to the Pejawar Math. The Temple Diwan Raghurama Acharya welcomed the president in front of the Pejawar Math.
The Pejawar Swamiji felicitated the president and his wife with the Yakashagana Kireeta, Hatte Prabhavali and Krishna Idol. The Swamiji also gave 12 books which were written by Pejawar Swamiji. The Swamiji felicitated Savitha Kovind with a Saree and Shankerpura Jasmine. The President also felicitated the Pejawar Swamiji with a Shawl. The President then viewed the history video of the Pejawar Math.
Later President Kovind enquired about the health of Pejawar Swamiji and asked him to guide the society with his spiritual leadership. He also expressed happiness for visiting the Pejawar Math.
Speaking on the occasion Sri Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math said, “Today the Country’s first citizen Kovind has arrived here and it has made me very happy. The Pejawar Math is planning to start the Madhwacharya University in Pajaka and work has already started”. The Swamiji asked the support of the president for the Upcoming Madhwacharya University.
Later President Ramanath Kovind visited Sri Krishna Math where the Paryaya Palimar Math’s Diwan welcomed the president in front of the Krishna Temple. The President and his wife Savitha Kovind then made a darshan of Lord Sri Krishna and sought the blessings of Sri Vidyadeesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Palimar Math. The Palimar Swamiji honoured the President and his wife with a huge Lord Krishna Idol on the occasion.
The president left Udupi at 12:50 pm from the Adi-Udupi helipad to Mangaluru International Airport.
