President Pranab Mukherjee visits Kollur Temple, offers Prayers

Kundapur: President Pranab Mukherjee’s day-long visit culminated with the visit of South India’s famous Sri Mookambika Temple Kollur in Kundapur Taluk on Sunday, June 18.

The President arrived at the temple by road from Udupi and offered prayers. Mukherjee then interacted with the temple administration and asked about the Temple’s history and the rituals being carried out there.

The president was accompanied by K J George Minister for Bengaluru Development Town Planning, Pramod Madhwaraj Minister for Fisheries, Youth Empowerment and Sports and Udupi district minister in charge, Rudrappa Manappa Lamani minister for Muzarai. Harish Shetty president of the Temple administration committee welcomed the president in the presence of the Administration Committee members and priests.

After visiting the temple the President returned to Udupi helipad by road, he then proceeded to Mangaluru International Airport and flew to New Delhi.
