Prof Clement D’Souza, Former Prof of Economics at St Agnes College and a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Trainer No More at Age 73
Mangaluru: The last time I had close encounters with Prof. Clement D’Souza, when he was felicitated by his colleagues, friends and well-wishers on 16 February 2020 at the residence of Social Worker, Ms Sabrina Hougaard in Falnir, Mangaluru, for the great work that he has been doing, and for his tremendous achievement at this golden ripe. On the occasion, Prof Clement D’Souza was felicitated with a shawl. plaque, memento and fruit basket by Jesper Hougaard-a Entrepreneur and Psycho Analyst; Ms Mary Golstein from the United Kingdom- a Transactional Analysis Trainer; Richard Almeida from Mumbai- NLP Master Practitioner; Dr Charles Crasto from Mumbai- Psycho Therapist/NLP Master Practitioner; and Krish Shreenath from Chennai- NLP Trainer/ Pro Transformation Specialist. Prof.Clement D’Souza, a vibrant native of Dakshina Kannada, has served nearly 34 years as a Professor of Economics at St.Agnes College, Bendore-Mangaluru, and before he could retire he chose to pursue Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) among other learning. And in a span of 15 years, he has conducted over a 100 NLP Training at Mumbai, Goa, Mangaluru, and in different parts of Kerala, Ahmedabad, and many other parts in India. Apart from India, he has been invited to places in the Arabian Gulf regions for doing therapies with laypeople, priests, nuns, religious, and medical doctors too. Prof Clement was also a pranic healer, expert Yoga teacher, and a rainwater harvesting activist.
It is learnt that Clement D’Souza was found by neighbours who then opened the door of Clement’s house on Friday morning. He had passed away peacefully in his sleep. At the time of his death, he was alone, since his wife, had gone to visit her son, in Australia, and due to the Coronavirus lockdown, couldn’t return back to Mangaluru.
Prof Clement is survived by his wife, Prescilla and only son, Kevin, who are both in Australia at the moment.
