Prostitution Racket at Embellish Saloon in Kankanady Busted, Two Pimps Arrested
Mangaluru: The Mangalore East police arrested two pimps for running a prostitution racket and rescued five women from a salon in Kankanady here on October 31.
The arrested have been identified as Valid Khan (34) from Jeppu and Isthikar (38) from Thana, UP. Another accused woman pimp Vinoda is absconding. Vinoda was earlier involved in prostitution and a case was registered against her in the Kadri police station.
On October 31, after getting information from reliable sources about a prostitution racket being operated at the Embellish Saloon and Spa in Emporium Building in Kankanady, the Mangaluru East police got into action and raided the saloon. In the raid, the police arrested two pimps and rescued five women.
A case has been registered in the Mangaluru East Police Station and investigation is on.
Under the direction of Police commissioner Dr Harsha, and under the guidance of DCP Law and Order Arunagshu, DCP Crime and Traffic Lakshmi Ganesh the operation was carried out by the Mangaluru East Police Inspector Shantharam, PSI Maruti and team.
