PU Examination Postponed, Further Date will be Announced – Education Minister Suresh Kumar
Bengaluru: The PU Examination which was scheduled on March 23 has been postponed.
Earlier the home minister had said that the examination will be held on March 23 and that he would speak to the managing directors of BMTC and KSRTC to provide transport for the students. But the education minister had not commented on it.
Home minister Basavaraj Bommai announced the lockdown of 9 districts including Dakshina Kannada as positive cases of Coronavirus were found in Bengaluru, Bengaluru Rural, Dakshina Kannada, Chikkaballapura, Kodagu, Dharwad, Mysuru, Belagavi and Kalaburgi. These districts will completely lockdown until March 31.
Later the education minister Suresh Kumar held a meeting with the senior officers of the education department and discussed about the PU examination. Since positive cases of COVID – 19 were found in 9 districts, the decision to postpone the PU examination was taken. The date for the examination will be announced later.
