PU results: Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, districts retain top spots
Bengaluru: The Department of PU education on Thursday announced the results of the II PU exams held in March-April 2017.
Udupi district has retained the top slot in terms of overall pass percentage, followed by Dakshina Kannada district that has retained the second position.
The pass percentage saw a marginal dip to 52.38 down from 57.20 last year.
Like every year, girls have outperformed boys with 62.28 per cent against 44.74 per cent.
This year, 6,84,566 candidates wrote the IInd PU exams which were held from March 9 to 27.
Results will be available on the website of the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) (http://kseeb.kar.nic.in/) after the announcement.
The official list will be put up in colleges on Friday morning.
District-wise pass percentage:
Udupi Top with 90.01 per cent
Dakshina Kannada second with 89.82 per cent
Uttara Kannada third with 71.99 per cent
Kodagu fourth with 70.83 per cent
Chickamagaluru fifth with 68.03 per cent
Bidar has slipped to the last position th with 42.05 per cent.
