Pump Up Your Life!
The pleasure of turning out the negative
There is information pandemic in today’s society. People in the previous age were rather lucky! They didn’t have television, social media and the internet to worry about. “Always shun that which makes you angry”. Turn your mind away from those things which annoy you. If discussing party politics spoils your dinner-table harmony, avoid it. It is not weakness; it is a sign of strong will. What results is peace and serenity.
Things are going to be OK
There are times when we feel that everything is lost. What follows are misery, self- pity and complaints. We make things more complicated and compounded when we worry about something that has already happened. Difficult times should be viewed as darkness before dawn.
Time is our most irreplaceable asset
“We’re tight-fisted with property and money; yet think too little of wasting time, the one thing about which we should all be the toughest misers”—SENECA. Today, there are endless interruptions- phone calls, emails, WhatsApp messages, videos, never-ending serials and violent movies! We should always protect our space and time diligently from the intrusions. A few minutes of contemplation is worthier than hours of chatter.
Know thyself
Self-awareness makes you realize your strengths and weaknesses. Take time to explore yourself. Try to understand your mind and body. This paves the way for a deeper understanding of your thoughts. Don’t forget to fill your mind with positive, energetic thoughts.
A Vision in mind
Part of the reason we fight against the things that happen in our lives is that we’re so focused on OUR plan. Many a time, we don’t see a better plan being designed for us. Sometimes, what we perceived as a disaster turned out to be a lucky break. We need to remember that all things are guided by reason—but that it is a vast and universal reason that we cannot always see.
You are a product of your training
An investor who doesn’t invest with discipline is just a gambler. A teacher who doesn’t prepare for his classes is doing a great injustice to his students. Identify your strengths and build upon them. What you need is to harness the skills to take your career to greater heights. A tough training controls your mind, streamlines your thoughts and more importantly, brings your closer to success.
