Pumpwell Flyover to set Guinness World Record if not Completed by Jan 1 – MLC Ivan

Mangaluru: “There are rumours that the Pumpwell flyover will be inaugurated by January 1, 2020. We will give the MP until 4:00 pm to inaugurate the flyover on January 1. The Pumpwell flyover should be full-fledged and motorable. As per my knowledge, there are only a few people working on the Pumpwell flyover. All the work of the flyover should be completed by January 1, the MP should keep his promise. Since the Pumpwell flyover is now talk of the town the MP should take special interest to inaugurate the flyover on January 1. If they do not complete the work by January 1, 2020, the flyover will set a new Guinness world record”, said MLC Ivan D’Souza in a press meet held at his office in Lalbagh here on December 16.

Addressing the media persons Ivan said, “There are only 16 days left for the inauguration of the flyover and according to me it is not possible to complete the work by January 1. From the past 10 years, the work of the flyover is going on. I never have seen such a failure in my life. Now it is their government in the centre as well as in the state but still, they are unable to complete the work.”

Ivan further said, “Under the leadership of former minister U T Khader, we will form a fact-finding committee. Within a day the district Congress president will announce the committee and we will start to find out the reasons for the delay. We have already given the deadline to complete the flyover work by January 1, at 4 pm. For any reason, if the work will not be completed we will stage a protest. I would also like to bring to the notice of the MP, that he should visit the spot and do the follow up to complete the work within the promised time and inaugurate the flyover”.
