‘Puttur da Muttu’ 24-year-old Lass Larissa Reema Dias makes History being Chosen in Season 6 of Reality Show ‘Bigg Boss’
Mangaluru: After six lakh entries across Karnataka, and after several rounds of interviews, finally it’s a glorious remark in the history of Puttur- that a girl of Dakshina Kannada who coveted list of participants at Big boss Kannada season six through the common entry. Meet 24-year-old lass from Puttur, Reema Larissa Dias, daughter of Richard Dias (a noted business man in Puttur) and Ms Latha Gladis Tauro, (a teacher by profession at Govt School-Patrakodi), is a software engineer at a noted company in Bengaluru. Reema sprung across the state even as an anchor superstar, Kiccha Sudeep introduced her as “Puttur da Muttu” (meaning “Pearl of Puttur”).
With actor Sudeep anchoring season 6 of reality show Bigg Boss, the show has gotten all the more popular, and the Show kick started on 21 October 2018 at 8 pm on Colors Super TV Channel. This season will see the participation of 18 contestant from various fields. But here’s the twist. While there are actors and known faces, this season also brings on board a bus conductor, Ananda. Another interesting person to watch out for is farmer Shashi Kumar, an M.Sc graduate in Agricultural Sciences. He is also part of a dance group – Bhoomika.
Apart from our Puttur software engineer, Reema Dias, others in the house are celebrities from various fields, including Sonu Patil, Andrew Jaypaul, Jayashree Raj, Murali of Oggarane Dabbi fame, Akshatha Pandavapura, Rakshita Rai, Kavita Gowda – Lacchi of Lakshmi Baramma and Adam Pasha. M J Rakesh, RJ Rapid Rashmi, A V Ravi, Naveen Sajju, Sneha Acharya, Naina Puttaswamy, and Dhanraj C M. “Bigg Boss” will be a 100-day show with Sudeep as the host and various Kannada celebrities coming in as guests. The show will be aired on Colours Super everyday from 8 pm to 9 pm, with elimination rounds on Sundays.
Born on 7th October 1994, Reema did her schooling in Bala Vikas English Medium School in Mani-Bantwal, her PU in Ambika PU College-Puttur, and later her Computer Science Engineering in Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology. Being a distinction holder in her SSLC and also while doing her engineering, her achievements and accomplishments got her job as a software engineer in Trianz-Bengaluru, where she has been there for the past two years. Her hobbies include dancing, music, and she is fond of choreography. She has won a Rashtrapati award in Guides, and also won awards in various dance competitions- you can describe her as a multi-talented and all-rounder!
Speaking to Team Mangalorean Reema’s younger brother Royal Dias, age 22, a Senior Executive in Jubilant Food Works- Bengaluru said, ” We had no clue that Reema was chosen as one among the lakhs of participants who has sent their entries through Voot app in July. It was the day prior to our lunch, the day before the organizers of the show informed about Reema being selected for Season 6 of Bigg Boss. She always wanted to be on TV, and it was her dream. She had tried for Bigg Boss last year also but couldn’t get through This year through her hard work and dedication she has achieved this. Her friends always used to say to her that she is made for Bigg Boss, as she is very active, spontaneous talkative and multi-talented. Due to her selection for the Show, our happiness was on the horizon”.
When asked if Reema watched Bigg Boss show regularly, Royal said, “Not much. She used to just watch few episodes here and there when she could find time. But she loves reality shows and this is her dream to be on TV she has worked hard for this. “. When asked who inspired and encouraged her, Royal said, ” I always supported her to be on the show, since our parents were a bit reluctant and hesitating to send her for the Show. But I convinced my parents, and I am happy they agreed. I am very very happy for her. You get one life and you should achieve your dream whenever you get an opportunity. My sister has shown me that dreams can be true and she is my inspiration. I am sure she will do good in all the tasks as she has a never give up kind of attitude. If people support her she will definitely win, I am positive about it”
