Puttur Double Murder Accused Kareem Arrested within 24 hours

Puttur:  The district police succeeded in arresting the accused in the Kuriya double murder case within 24 hours of the crime on November 19.

The arrested has been identified as Kareem Khan (29), from Kattatharu, Kuriya Puttur.

According to the police,  on November 18 at around 11:00 pm, the accused Kareem Khan entered the house of Koggu Saheb from the roof to commit robbery and Koggu along with his wife and grand daughter woke up and saw Kareem. Kareem got nervous, thinking that they had recognized him, he went to the kitchen, brought a sickle and attacked all the three.

After the attack, Kareem fled with gold and cash from the back door. Koggu Saheb and his grand daughter died due to injuries and Khateejamma is admitted to the hospital with severe injuries.

The Puttur Rural police registered the case and started the investigations. Based on the information provided by the beat constable Bhim Sen, the police arrested Kareem.

During the attack Kareem was also injured and is being treated in the hospital.  The investigation is on.
