Puttur: MLA Shakuntala Shetty has been running temperature for the last two or three days.
She was treated by doctors at her house in Bannur as she felt quite weak to move around. She was put on drips during the house call.
The exact nature of fever was not immediately known. Health minister U T Khader, who had come to Puttur to attend an officials’ meeting dropped by her house in Bannur after hearing the news and enquired after her health.
The fever is said to have been caused by exhaustion on account of hectic official programmes and travel.
In the evening, her son who lives in Mangaluru took her to his house to be looked after, said family sources.
