Race enthusiasts go crazy on Hosur Airstrip
Bengaluru Drag Fest officially flagged off, May 29 Drag race for cars…
Bengaluru: Hosur Runway Saturday was dominated by Bike and cars. The excitement was visible on the faces of race enthusiasts who flocked the airstrip. They had a gala time amidst the thunderous roar of the racing bikes. The whole place resounded with shouts of the fans as they encouraged their favourite participants.
These are the snapshots of Bangalore Drag Fest that started on Saturday. The director of ‘Team 46 Racing Community’, Karnesh flagged off the fest.
The Drag Race organised by Team 46 Racing Community, at the Airstrip that belongs to Taneja Institute of Aerospace and Aviation, Hosur. Around 250 bikers participated in the event with their nerve wrenching adventures. They competed with one another to finish first.
Sunday also the fest would continue which would be the day for cars. Around 350 cars are expected to participate in the event. Professional racers will showcase their driving talent here.
It is not a common sight to see bikes and cars on a runway. Team 46 Racing Community provided such a rare opportunity to the race enthusiasts.
The sixth leg of Drag Fest, ‘Drag Fest-2016’ was professionally organised by Team-46 Racing Community the highlight was, of course, the venue. The 700-meter track was kept free for vehicles moving at high speed in a dedicated track of 402-meter length.
‘We have an idea to organise such drag races in runways of Karnataka including the Hubli runway. This will provide much sought after opportunity to budding racing talents’ says Raghavendra of Team 46 Racing Community.
