Rahul Gandhi arrives in Kaup, Inaugurates Rajiv Gandhi National Political Academy

Udupi: All-India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi along with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah arrived in Kaup on Tuesday, March 20 to participate in the Janashirvad Yatre. Rahul Gandhi arrived by Chopper from Mangaluru International Airport to the Uchila Govt College ground Helipad.
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G. Parameshwar, Pramod Madhwaraj Udupi District minister in-charge, Vinay Kumar Sorake MLA Kaup and former minister received Rahul Gandhi.
Later Gandhi proceeded to Thenka Yermal where he inaugurated the Rajiv Gandhi National Academy of Political Education complex and took part in discussions with the Congress Sevadal activists and party leaders.
He told Seva Dal members that they should increase their activities to bring back discipline in the party. Congress should be empowered across the nation and politicians need training, he opined.
Congress Leader Mallikarjuna Kharge, AICC Karnataka In-charge K C Venugopal, Vishunath, KPCC working president S R Patil, former Union minister Veerappa Moily, and others were present.
