Rahul Gandhi to Participate in ‘Janashirwada’ Road Show in DK
Mangaluru: The AICC President Rahul Gandhi will be touring Dakshina Kannada on March 20. He will be landing at the Mangaluru International Airport on March 20. From there he will proceed to Kaup where he will take part in the Janashirwada Road Show. From Kaup, Rahul Gandhi will visit Mulky and Suratkal. In the evening party workers will welcome Rahul at the Jyothi Circle where Rahul Gandhi will participate in a roadshow which will culminate at the Nehru Maidan”, said the AICC secretary P C Vishnunath in a pressmeet held at the DCC office here on March 13.
Addressing the mediapersons Vishnunath said, “We the Congress leaders had a meeting on the preparations for the Janashirwada Road Show. All the state leaders and leaders from Delhi will take part in the Janashirwada. A Huge crowd is expected for the road show. On March 21st Rahul will visit Chikkamagaluru. He will also visit the Temple in Sringeri and later take part in the roadshow in Chikkamagaluru and Hassan.”
Addressing the mediapersons District minister In-charge B Ramanath Rai said, “After becoming the president of AICC, Rahul has toured many parts of the state. Wherever Rahul has visited, people have welcomed and blessed him. On March 20, Rahul will land at the MIA and proceed by Helicopter to Kaup to attend the road show. He will also take part in the roadshow from Jyothi to the Nehru Maidan after taking part in Mulky and Suratkal Janashirwada. We will visit all the blocks and meet the party workers to see the preparations for the road show.”
When asked about the dispute between Congress party workers Harish Kumar said, “We have suspended Abdul Sattar and have already issued a show-cause notice to both Sattar and Pratibha Kulai. We will discuss the matter with them. Since this is a dispute between the party workers, the matter will be settled amicably.”
Congress leaders U B Venkatesh, Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza, Mayor Bhaskar Moily, Savitha Ramesh, Sashidhar Hegde, Narayana Swamy and others were also present.
