Rahul Gandhi to Visit Rosario Cathedral, Kudroli Temple and Ullal Dargha – Rai

Rahul Gandhi to Visit Rosario Cathedral, Kudroli Temple and Ullal Dargha  on March 20 – Ramanath Rai

Mangaluru: “The AICC president Rahul Gandhi is touring Dakshina Kannada district on March 20. On that day he will land at the Mangaluru International Airport at 11:30 am and will fly to Kaup by chopper to inaugurate the Rajiv Gandhi political Institute at Tenka Yermal. From there he will attend the roadshow at Padubidri. He will later attend a road show in Mulky. Rahul will be welcomed by Congress leaders at Suratkal. After attending the roadshow at Suratkal he will proceed to Jyothi circle. At Jyothi Circle, Rahul will be welcomed by various wings of the Congress party. At 6:00 pm Rahul will address the public at the Nehru Maidan. After the programme at Nehru Maidan Rahul will visit the Rosario Cathedral, Kudroli Gokarnatheshwar Temple and the Ullal Dargha”, said the district minister in-charge Ramanath Rai in a press meet held at the DCC office, Mallikatta here on March 19.

Addressing the media persons Ramanath Rai said, “Rahul Gandhi will address the block Congress presidents of DK and Udupi on March 21. He will later hold talks with senior Congress leaders. At 11:00 am Rahul will fly back to Sringeri by chopper. At Sringeri, Rahul will visit the Sharadamba Temple and meet Jadgadguru Shankaracharya and Sri Bharati Tirtha. At the Sringeri Math, Rahul will interact with the students of Rajiv Gandhi Sanskrit University from 12:25 pm to 1:10 pm. At 1:20 pm he will inaugurate the newly constructed Block Congress office there.”

Ramanath Rai further said, “Congressmen have contributed a lot to Dakshina Kannada district. People of Dakshina Kannada have benefitted from Indira Gandhi’s 20 point programme. In the last assembly elections, we have won 7 seats out of the 8 constituencies. We are confident to win all the 8 seats in the coming elections. People want a secular government and they will vote for Congress.”

Ramanath Rai also said, “A large number of people will gather at the Jyothi circle to welcome Rahul Gandhi and we will be marching in a procession to the Nehru Maidan, where Rahul Gandhi will address the party workers.”

Minister U T Khader, President DCC Harish Kumar, Rajshekar Kotian, Kodijal Ibrahim and others were also present.
