Raise Rs 2 lakh each for party, Shenoy tells candidates
Bagalkot: Bharatiya Janashakti Congress candidates who contest the upcoming polls in May, should collect a donation of Rs 2 lakh each for the party from like-minded people, said the party’s founder Anupama Shenoy.
Shenoy added that by doing so, the party will have enough funds to meet election promises if they win, irrespective of whether the government releases money for welfare programmes, or not.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, there was a lot of intervention ‘by the khadi’ in the work of ‘the khaki’.
“All departments have become politicised. I have also been threatened. But I remain unfazed,” Shenoy claimed.
Shenoy also stated that Bharatiya Janashakti Congress would field candidates in all the 224 constituencies in the state.
How much is the security deposit these days? Just curious.
