Rajinikanth visits Mantralaya, receives seer’s blessings
Raichur: Actor Rajinikanth visited Mantralaya on Tuesday morning, where he received the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt seer Sri Subhadendra Thirtha.
Rajinikanth first had a darshan of the local deities Manchalamma Devi and Anajaneya Swami, after which he met the seer. They spoke for about 10 minutes.
The seer asked Rajinikanth, who seemed to be in a hurry to leave, that he must visit Mantralaya again and witness the various spiritual programmes of the mutt.
The actor told the spiritual leader that although he was in no hurry to leave, he feared that if he stayed for long, his fans would crowd the mutt and create disturbance. “I will surely come again,” he told Subhadendra Thirtha.
The seer wrapped a shawl around Rajinikanth to honour him and gifted him with parimala prasad, a tulasi necklace and a figurine of Brindavan.
Rajinikanth has visited Mantralaya many times, but this was his first visit after Subhadendra Thirtha took over as the head of the mutt.
The authorities of the mutt had no prior knowledge of the actor’s visit on Tuesday.
