Rajya Sabha adjourned for the day
New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha was on Thursday adjourned for the day minutes after it met on the 17th anniversary of the terror attack on the Indian parliament.
As soon as the proceedings began, a few members advanced to the Chairman’s podium, holding placards and demanding that their issues be discussed. Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu refused to oblige.
As the agitated members continued their protests, Naidu adjourned the House for the day amid the din.
Earlier, the House paid homage to the victims who lost their lives during the terrorist attack on Parliament in 2001.
