Ram Temple ordinance: Janagrah Rally begins in Udupi
Udupi: A Janagrah Rally organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad to step up pressure on the Union Government to issue an ordinance to build the Ram Temple in Ayodhya began here in Udupi on Sunday, December 2.
The rally was flagged off at Jodukatte near Old Taluk Office. The rally passed through Big Bazar, Court Road, Diana Circle, K M Marg, Triveni Circle, Service Bus-stand, Kidyoor Road, City Bus-stand, Kalasanka and culminated at the Sri Krishna Math’s Parking area.
VHP and other right-wing outfits have been demanding that the Centre bring a legislation through an ordinance to hand over Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya to them to build the Ram Temple. The demand has gathered pace after the Supreme Court hearing in Ayodhya case was put off to January 2019.
