Ramadan begins in Coastal Districts from May 6
Udupi/Mangaluru: The Udupi, Hassan and Chikkamagaluru district joint Kahzi Tazul Pukha Shaikh Musliar Bekal has confirmed the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan in Udupi and DK region from Monday, May 6 as the new moon was sighted at Kappad beach, near Kozhikode, on Sunday, May 5 evening.
Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims, Muslims around the world commemorate this special month by fasting, prayer, charity and devotion.
