Ramakrishna Mission holds Swacchata Jan Samparka Abhiyan
Mangaluru: Daily Campaigns of Ramakrishna Mission Swacchata Jan Samparka Abhiyan were carried out at various places in Mangalore from 5th December to 31st December. About 24 Abhiyan were carried out by 24 different groups attended by more than 2000 people. Already 800 people have registered their names for Pot-compost with the Ashrama.
Sri Sharada Mahila Vrinda: Members of Sri Sharada Mahila Vrinda were addressed at Ramakrishna Math. Swami Dhramvratanandaji presided over the programme and gave the call to maintain cleanliness. Smt. Sathyavathi, President of Mahila Vrinda welcomed the gathering.
Nivedita Balaga: Pot Compost Demonstration programme was arranged for the members of Nivedita Balaga at Ramakrishna Mission. Sri Umanath Kotekar, coordinator briefed about the Abhiyan and urged the members to manage their waste in their homes. Smt. Vijayalakshmi Coordinated the programme.
Bhagini Samaja: About 50 home-makers attended the Swacchata Jan Sampark Abhiyan organised at Bhagini Samaj. Segregation of garbage into wet & dry was demonstrated. President of Bhagini Samaj, Smt. Vijayalakshmi Bhat was the chief guest. Smt Rathna Alva coordinated the programme. Sachin Shetty demonstrated pot compost.
S C S Hospital: Swacchata Awareness programme was organised for the staff & employees of SCS hospital. Miss Rama Sorake welcomed the gathering. Dr Jeevaraj Sorake was the chief guest. Umanath Kotekar briefed the gathering about the significance of Sampark Abhiyan. About 150 staff attended the programme.
Pavan Apartments: Pavan Apartments residents attended the Abhiyan at Arise Awake Park in Karnagalpady. Prabhakar Shetty spoke about the Abhiyan and the contribution of Ramakrishna Mission. Sachin Shetty gave a demonstration of pot compost and urged the residents to use the method to dispose of the wet waste and convert it to manure.
Zilla Panchayat: Village Panchayat Development officers attended the Pot compost demonstration programme at Ramakrishna Math. Swami Ekagamyanandaji explained how waste and garbage can be transformed into a source of income and how the mindset can be changed. CEO of ZP, Dr R Selvamani, Coordinator of Swacch Bharath Mission Smt. Manjula and nearly 200 representatives from 100 villages attended the programme.
Mahila Sabha: Swacchata Jagruthi Programme was organised at Mahila Sabha in Light House Hill Road. Smt. Jyothi Alva, President, Smt. Vajra Rao, Raji Balakrishna & nearly 70 women attended the programme. They were informed about pot compost and how they can transform their kitchen waste into manure. Sri Guruprasad Rao arranged the programme. Smt. Vijayalakshmi Bhat welcomed the gathering.
Gurunagara: Jan Sampark Abhiyan was organised at Gurunagara Sri Narayana Mandir at Yeyyadi. Kamlakasha Bangera, Jayalakshmi were special invitees. Ramakrishna Mission volunteers briefed the gathering about the role of citizens in Swacchata Abhiyan. The team Friends for Ever coordinated the programme led by Sri Subhoday Alva and Sri Sujith Bhandary.
Padil Veeranagar: Navakeerthi Yuvaka Mandala in association with Navajyothi Mahila Mandala had arranged the Abhiyan at Veeranagara. Smt. Bhavya welcomed the guests. Sachin Shetty spoke about managing the wet waste in each household. Sandip Shetty and Smt. Sunitha were guests. Kodange Balakrishnan Naik coordinated the programme.
Chilimbi: Sampark Abhiyan was organized in Sri Sharada Niketan in Chilimbi. Sri Subraya Nayak was the special invitee. Members of Sri Sharada Niketana attended the programme and gathered information on kitchen waste management. Sri Vitthaldas Prabhu coordinated the programme.
Ramakrishna Math: Pot compost Demonstration was held at Ramakrishna Math Hall. Sri Mohan Kumblekar and participants of Yogasana Camp attended the programme.
Ujjodi: Yuvavahini unit of Ujjodi arranged Sampark Abhiyan at Mahakali Temple. Bhavith Raj, Gopala Pujari & others attended the programme. Prashanth Yekkur coordinated the programme.
Madoor: In association with Vishwabharathi Mandir Sampark Abhiyan was organised at Satyanarayana Nagara Madoor. Ranjan Bellarpady explained the significance of cleanliness and how to convert the kitchen waste into manure. Uday K P coordinated the programme.
Mangaladevi: In association with Kitty Party Mahila Mandala a demonstration of Pot Compost was held at Sri Devi Nilaya at Mangaladevi Temple. Nallur Sachin Shetty demonstrated pot compost. Laxmi Alva, Rathna Alva, Shailaja & other members attended the programme.
Chethana School: In association with Seva Bharathi Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Chethana School. President of Seva Bharathi SumathI Shenoy was the chief guest. Details about Swacchata Abhiyan were shared with the members. Senior volunteers Sri Nagesh & Kamalaksha Pai coordinated the programme.
Lions Club: Kankanadi Lions Club arranged Jan Sampark Abhiyan at Lions Seva Mandir, Kadri. Uma Hegde, President was the Chief Guest. Umanath Kotekar shared the details of Swacchata Abhiyan. B Sadashiva Rai coordinated the programme.
Jeppu: In association with the Health department, Abhiyan was organised at Jeppu Health centre. Dr Sujaykumar & Smt. Jayashree Pawar attended the programme. Sachin Shetty & Guruprasad Rao gave the demonstration of pot compost.
Mulihithlu: Sampark Abhiyan was held at Amba Maheshwari Bhajana Mandira. Principal of Sree Devi Institute of Technology Dr Dileep Kumar was the special invitee. Uday K P delivered the keynote address. Punith Poojari welcomed the guests.
Bolar: Sampark Abhiyan was held at BEO office. Smt. Geetha Shanbhogue, Poornima & other parents attended the demonstration programme.
