Ramakrishna Mission’s Swacchata Jan Samparka Abhiyan in February
Mangaluru: Daily Campaigns of Ramakrishna Mission Swacchata Jan Samparka Abhiyan were carried out at various places in Mangalore from 1st February to 28th February. About 28 Abhiyan were carried out by 28 different groups. Till date, about 76 programmes have been conducted & 2500 people have registered their names for Pot-compost with the Ashrama.
The 49th Jan Sampark Abhiyan was conducted at Urwa Mariyamma Temple for the members of Bhajana Mandir. Sundar Gurikar was the chief guest. Vithaldas Prabhu & Subraya Nayak coordinated the programme.
The 50th programme was conducted at Nirmala Travels Head office in Kodialbail for the management & staff. Kamalaksha Pai coordinated the programme. Umanath Kotekar briefed the employees about the garbage segregation. Vatika international Travels chief Smt. Vatika Pai welcomed the gathering.
Vishwa Brahmana Samaja Seva Sangha: 51st programme of Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Vishwa Brahmana Samaja Seva Sangha at Surathkal. President Shivashankar Acharya, Diwakar Acharya and other members participated in the programme. Satish Sadananda coordinated the programme.
Ayyappa Bhajana Mandir: 52nd Programme of the Sampark Abhiyan was held at Ayyappa Bhajana Mandir at Yekkur. Yashodhara Chowta presided over the meeting. Bharath Shetty, Tejaswini Acharya and other members of the Bhajana Mandir attended the programme.
Life Insurance Corporation: 53rd programme was held at Life Insurance Corporation Branch no. 2 at Kodialbail. Vijay Kumar, Branch Manager, Prakash Shetty and other staff were present. Kodange Balakrishna Naik coordinated the programme.
Mangalore City Corporation: 54th Programme was arranged at Mangala Auditorium of Mangalore City Corporation. Mohammad K, Deputy Mayor, Commissioner Mohammad Nazeer were guests. Umanath Kotekar briefed about Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan. Sachin Shetty gave a demonstration of pot compost. Madhu Manohar welcomed the gathering. About 150 staff of MCC attended the programme.
KTC Union: 55th Programme was organised in association with KTC union at Bishop Jannat Hall in Balmatta. Dr Anil presided over the meeting. Madhukiran, Secretary welcomed. Father Watson coordinated the meeting.
Self Help Group: 56th programme was held for the members of Siddhi Vinayaka, Mahaganapathi & Sarvashakti Self-help groups at Bolara Anganavadi. Community coordinating officer Malini Rodrigues, Srikanthi & other members were present.
Parkriti Mahila Mandali: Special meeting on awareness about garbage segregation & management was held for the members of Prakriti Mahila Mandali at Shaktinagar. MCC member Akhila Alva was the chief guest. Ashalatha M V, President and other members attended the programme.
Vishwakarma Cooperative Bank: 58th Programme of Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Vishwakarma Cooperative Bank Head Office at Car Street. Swami Ekagamyanandaji was the chief guest. President of bank Sri Harish Achar, D Bhaskar Achar, Lokesh Achar, Rajesh Nettar, Suresh Kumar & other staff of the bank attended the programme.
Karnataka Tailor Association: 59th programme was held in association with Karnataka Tailor Association, Mangaladevi Region at Kanti Church premises. Suresh Shetty briefed the attendees with Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan. Prajwal Kumar presided over the meeting. Sabitha Kumar & Rathna Alva coordinated the programme.
Sri Sharadotsava Seva Trust: 60th Programme was held for the members of Prerana, Amrita, Priya & SInchana Ladies’ Self Help Group at Sri Sharadotsava Seva Trust in Panjimogaru. MCC member Dayananda Shetty was the chief Guest. Sulatha coordinated the programme.
Karavali Vachakiyara Sangha: 61st Programme was held in association with Karavali Readers Association at Sahitya Sadana, Kottara. Satish Sadananda gave a demonstration of pot compost. President of the association Shashilekha B presided over the meeting. Prof. Sheshappa Amin anchored the programme.
Self Help Group: 62nd programme was held for the members of Akshaya Sayi, Amma, Savinaya & Mariyamma Self Help groups at Urwa community Hall. In association with MCC, Coordinator Mamatha arranged the programme.
Janatha Kendra: Under the auspices of MCC and in association with Jnanadeepa, Ashakirana, Adarsha & Sri Mangaladevi Self Help Groups 63rd programme of wet waste management was held at Janatha Kendra, Bolar. Sachin Shetty gave a demonstration of pot compost.
Sri Adishakti Bhuvaneshwari Adinatha Siddhapeetha: 64th programme was held at Sootarpet. Umanath Kotekar briefed about the Abhiyan. Prashanth Yekkur welcomed & anchored programme. Arjun was the chief guest.
Attavara Shantha Alva Prathishthana: 65th programme of Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Rama Laxminarayana Convention Hall near Mangaladevi Temple in association with Attavara Shantha Alva Pratishthana. Prameetha Rai, Rajesh K & others attended the programme. Babitha L Shetty anchored the programme.
Mahila Kendra Surathkal: In association with Vidyadayini Rural Development & Agriculture training centre 66th programme was held at Surathkal. Satish Sadananda coordinated the programme. Sulochana Rao, Vinoda & other women attended the programme.
Sri Subrahmanya Math: 67th programme was held at Subrahmanya Math in Yekkur for the benefit of the local public. Gururaj Upadhyaya and Vishalakshi Shetty were guests. Umanath KOtekar briefed the gathering about the Abhiyan.
Mahila Mandali: 68th programme of Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Kulai in association with Virat of Surathkal & Mahila Mandali, Kulai, Meenaxi Devadas, President, Chandrashekar K P and many others attended the programme.
Sri Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samithi: 69th demonstration of pot compost was given to the members of Sri Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samiti in Buntara Bhavana Surathkal. Convener Harish Kotian, Narayana & many others attended the programme.
Vocational Teachers Association: In association with D K Dist. Vocational Teachers’ Association, 70th programme of Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Sacred Heart High school in Kulshekar. Umanath Kotekar briefed the gathering about the Abhiyan. President of association Suphala, Secretary DEvadas and many other teachers attended the meeting. Satyavathi M Shetty coordinated the programme.
Keshava Shishu Mandira: 71st programme was held for the members of Sri Patanjali Yoga Shikashana Samiti at Tadambail Keshava Shishu Mandira. Convener Srinidhi, Narayana and others attended the meeting.
Sri Devi Temple: 72nd programme was held at Sri Devi Temple. Satisha Sadananda gave the keynote address. Gokul, Bharathi and many others attended the programme.
Moodbidri: 73rd programme of Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Vani Vilas School in Tenka Mijar in association with MSW section, Lions Club Thodar & Sri Dharmasthala Rural Development Institute. Madhubala, Lecturer of Alvas College was the chief guest.
Grama Sangha Kulai: In association with Sri Ganeshotsava Samiti, Kulai, Dharmasthala Rural Development, Kulai Branch, 74th programme of Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held. Chandrashekar K P, Shankar Shetty, Jayaram Acharya and others were present.
Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple, Kavoor: Under the auspices of Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samithi, Kavur, 75th programme was held at Mahalingeshwara Temple. Damodara, Seva Pramukh Ashok, Shubhoday Alva and others were present. Umanath Kotekar briefed them about the Abhiyan.
Sri Marikamba Temple: In association with Sri Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samithi, 76th programme was held at Adumaroli Sri Marikamba Temple. Gokulnath Shenoy, Pushpalatha & many other attended the programme. Umanath Kotekar guided and Satish Sadananda coordinated the programme. Nallur Sachin Shetty gave a demonstration of Pot Compost.
