Ramanath Rai Appointed as Home Minister of Karnataka?
Mangaluru: The District Minister In-charge B Ramanath Rai has been appointed as the Home Minister of Karnataka on July 26.
After Dr Parameshwar become the president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee the post of Home Minister was vacant. The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was holding the charge of Home Minister.
On July 25, the decision was taken to appoint B Ramanath Rai as Home Minister. Ramanath Rai was called to Bengaluru to discuss the matter and to take charge as the Home minister. Rai has accepted the post. The appointment will be officially announced on July 26 in the Cabinet Meeting.
Accepting the post Ramanath Rai said, “I will obey the decision of the high command and the Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah. As the Home Minister, I will discharge my duties well.”
