Ramanath Rai Files Nomination in Bantwal for Assembly Elections
Bantwal: Congress Candidate from Bantwal Constituency B Ramanath filed his nomination at the Election office in Bantwal on April 19.
A large number of supporters marched in a procession along with Ramanath Rai to file the nomination. Ramanath Rai submitted his nomination letter to the Election officer Ravi Basarahalli.
After filing the nominations Ramanath Rai speaking to the mediapersons said, “I have dedicated my time for the people. I have worked for 16 hours a day for the development of the Bantwal constituency. The opposition is indulged in negative publicity. I have given priority to people of all castes, creed and religion. I received the blessings of senior Congress leaders and the people of my constituency.”
Ramanath further said, “I have fought and worked hard for the development of my constituency. Congress is working for development but the opposition is busy only in negative publicity. The people of the constituency are aware of my work. In my 5 years of tenure, I have brought Rs 1200 crore funds from the government for the development work of the Bantwal Constituency and it is the most developed constituency in the state.”
DCC President Harish Kumar, KPCC Secretary Rajshekar Kotian, ZP member Chandra Prakash Shetty, Padmashekar Jain, M S Mohammed, Manjula Madhav Mave, Abbas Ali, Mailappa Salian, B S Qader, Baby Kundar, U B Venkatesh, Mamatha Gatti, Nithyanand Shetty and others were also present.
