‘Ramanath Rai, the Most Unfit, Dangerous & Poisonous Minister’ – Harikrishna Bantwal

Mangaluru: Expressing his anger and frustration over District-in-Charge Minister Ramanath Rai, former Congressman and rebel Congress candidate Harikrishna Bantwal once again addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore press club said, ” Monday 11 July 2107 was the deadline for Minister Ramanath Rai to make his presence at the Dharmasthala temple to prove his innocence or guilt, but unfortunately he didn’t show up. This means that he is guilty of his behaviour during a wedding reception criticizing Janardhan Poojary and the community. Even though I had challenged Ramanath Rai to swear before the deities at Dharmasthala to prove his innocence, but he never accepted the gauntlet.”

“I came to know that last night Ramanath Rai had phoned Janardhan Poojary requesting him to convince me in not holding a press meet today. This shows that Ramanath Rai is guilty and scared of me. He has also apologized to Poojary in this regard. All this time Rai didn’t even have the courtesy to call Janardhan Poojary and speak to him; nor was Poojary invited for the inauguration of District Congress office near Kadri market; nor Poojary was invited to the recent Congress convention in Adyar. But why is he calling Poojary now? Asking Poojary to tell me not to hold a press meet is indeed not possible. I won’t budge to any one’s request” added Bantwal.

Bantwal further said, “Poojary has not made me an MLC nor given any post-it was due to my work and capacity I succeeded in the party, having certain designations. I am not greedy for any post in the party, unlike other politicians. I don’t listen to anyone, except follow the teachings of Narayana Swamy and Swami Vivekananda, and no one else. We should know that Ramanath Rai is not a people’s minister, he acts like a slave of the government or like a puppet. Frankly speaking, Rai is one of the most unfit, dangerous and poisonous minister in the history of Congress in the state. He has been recently criticizing and taking bad about the Billava Community, which I have proof and will reveal it during my next press meet. This is my final warning to Rai that he should stick his nose into Billavas activities, and not criticize the Billava community”

“As a resident of Bantwal he should have visited the home of slain RSS worker Sharath Madivala, irrespective of any party. If Rai had the decency to attend SDPI Ashraf’s funeral, how come he skipped attending Sharath’s funeral. Rai was a customer of Sharath, where he gave his clothes for laundry/ironing, but didn’t had the courtesy to visit Sharath’s home and console the family. Even I am the customer of Sharath’s laundry shop, and I made a visit to his house and consoled his father. But this morning I found out that Rai visited Sharath’s home and met his dad. This is just a drama to show that he is a good man and that he cares for the community. But where was Rai all these days” questioned Bantwal.

Before concluding his press meet, Bantwal who had chalked out few ideas how to make DK crime free, revealed it to the media personnel, saying – every home in DK should have a CCTV so that it could capture the footage of any crime committed; it is advisable to shift SP’s office from Mangaluru to Puttur, since the surrounding area is troublesome; that every citizen should play an important role in alerting the police if they notice any crime, untoward incidents etc so that action could be taken soon.
