Real Face Exposed! KRV District President’s 1027 Metric Tons Sand Illegally stocked Seized

Udupi: A team of officials from the departments of Mines and Geology, Revenue, Police and others raided several places in Udupi taluk here on November 16 and seized several tons of illegally stored sand.

The team led by Poovitha, IAS probationer who is working as In charge Thasildar Brahmavara, Sampath PSI DCIB, Raghavendra RPI and other staff of DCIB and DAR Udupi seized 1027 metric tons of sand worth of Rs 5.73 lakhs stocked illegally, in different places under the Brahmavar police station limits.

On a tip-off, the team raided sites in Havanje, KG Road and Uppoor area and found sand stocked illegally. The sand was stocked illegally by Ansar Ahmed and Ananda Marakala.

The illegally stocked sand was seized and police personnel were posted to guard it. The seized stock was handed over to the state mines and geology department by the police team.

A complaint in this connection was lodged in the Brahmavar Police Station by Dr H S Mahadeshver Geologist of Udupi district.

A case under CR NO 322/17 U/S 379 IPC, 4, 4(1A), 21 MMDR ACT 1957, US 3(1), 42(1), 43(2)44 KMMCR 1994 has been registered against Ansar Ahamed and Ananda Marakala.

The above said accused Ansar Ahamed is working as Udupi District president of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (Praveen Shetty Wing). Ansar Ahamed had also organised several protests in the past one year against the shortage of Sand in the district. Unfortunately on Thursday, Ansar Ahamed was caught by the department for illegally storing the sand.

Sand shortage is because Ansar was hiding sand plus he had the nerve to Protest.. There was another rogue hiding sand got caught in Bajpe area. There are many places where sand is hidden and if serious,Honest Citizen can tip off authorities.
