Madrid, Jan 20 (IANS) Spanish football legend and former star striker of Real Madrid Raul Gonzalez has revealed his future managerial plans post-retirement.
In an interview on El Larguero radio, Raul, who announced his retirement recently, said on Tuesday that when the time comes for a decision to become a coach, he will choose a club in which he can experiment with his managerial capabilities, reports Efe.
“Yes, some day when I feel I’m ready I wouldn’t mind, but I feel I should take a different path for now, as Real Madrid will always be my home and hopefully someday I’ll be able to help out,” Raul explained.
The 38-year-old admitted that Real Madrid has always been and is still on his mind.
“My first choice will always be Real Madrid, but working at a global level for La Liga can’t possibly offend anyone,” he said.
