Record turnout at the Forum Chesswiz 2018 Chess competition held at Forum Fiza Mall
Mangaluru: After 2 days of hard fought battles, 80 winners across 8 classes (Under 8 Open / Girls, Open 10 Open /Girls, Open 12 Open /Girls, Open 15 Open /Girls) came out winners in the second edition of Forum Chess Wiz 2018 competition in association with Derik’s Chess School sponsored by McDonalds & Indian terrain. The competition was an opportunity for students to exercise their brains and compete in both Open & Girls categories.
The competition was conducted in the Swiss league format and all participants had to earn maximum points in 8 & 6 rounds to be adjudged winners.
Siddhanth, Avani, Aatish, Manasa, Dheenram, Mitali, Akanksh and Arushi took the top honours along with gifts worth Rs 1,20,000/-. The event was organised on Aug 25th & 26th 2018.
Sunil K.S – Marketing Manager, Forum Fiza Mall thanked all participants & personally acknowledged all parents for facilitating their presence. “Every time the event has seen an unprecedented uplift in terms of registration, this year we have seen 1400 plus students registering for this event which shows us their eagerness to compete in this truly record-breaking event,” he added.
