Reinvestigation Should be done in MU Camera Case – U T Khader
Mangaluru: There should be a thorough investigation in the Mangalore University installation of Mobile camera in the girls toilet case, said Minister U T Khader on September 19.
While replying to a query by the mediapersons, U T Khader said, “The student who had installed the mobile camera in the girls toilet should be taken into custody again and a thorough investigation should be done to find out whether anyone else is involved in the crime or the student pursuing MSc in Marine Geology has done by himself”.
There should be an impartial investigation in this case, because the parents of the girl students are surely worried about their children’s safety on the college campus.
Santhosh was arrested on September 14, for installing a mobile camera on the roof of the girls toilet in the Mangalore University campus at Konaje, under IT act 66 and section 354 C IPC. On September 15, Santhosh was released on bail. Many student associations have also objected for his release and demanded action against the accused in a memorandum submitted to the police commissioner.
