Stage1: Learning of the Entity’s Existence
Practically it is impossible to know everyone and everything in this world. Suddenly circumstances bring you in touch with someone. At this stage luck plays a crucial role, but thereafter the course of relationship is dependent on your will, wisdom and heart to a large extent.
Stage 2: Attraction. You begin to feel his/Her existence.
Hello… What?s Happening? It is not the first time that you have come across a guy/girl. But this is different, hum…? For some reason your mind has made an exception and you think about him/her more than you think about anyone else. Your heart skips a beat every time his/her name is mentioned. Your colleagues catch you day dreaming, with a silly smile on your face and copy of pink paper in your hands.
Stage 3: Getting to know him/her better.
Now you are falling for him/her. You have an unquenchable thirst to know all about him/her. Any one who has met him/her, spoken to him/her, bumped into him/her is suddenly becomes your friend. You spend all your time and energy knowing and understanding…likes , dislikes etc.
But that?s not enough. Then you evaluate every thing. Is it right match? What is that you have to lose in your pursuit? Is it all worth it? Yes, You are dwelling at length on this stage. Because this is an important stage after which you have to make a decision. And who said decision-making is easy? Especially if it means you have to choose, because you can’t have them all.
Stage 4: Taking a Plunge
Assuming that you are convinced with what you have seen and understood that you have found a right guy/girl, you begin to dream about how future is going to be with the object of your affection.
Stage 5: The Honeymoon
It?s all cakes and roses. You own the object of your desire. You decide to fully commit yourself to him/her.
How many people in this world actually get the guy/girl they want? There is sense of achievement and pride. Over all a great feeling.
Stage 6 (A): The Honeymoon is over
After an ecstatic honeymoon, the relationship is unable to endure the grind of normal life. A painful outcome but unfortunately well within the realms of possibility.
Somewhere some thing has gone wrong.
*The wrinkles have started showing *The hair has turned Grey. *There is misunderstanding. *You did not expected this *His/her personality has change for worse. The very things that made him/her attractive to you in the first place have disappeared.
Stage (A) leads to the inevitable -Separation. What sense is there in continuing with the relationship when there is nothing to look forward to, when things have worsening beyond repair.
Stage 6(B): Life is Blissful
Your choice has proved right. All your expectations are turning into reality. You are distinctively better off than you were before you had entered into relationship. You are happy.
Stage 6 (B) leads to a fairy tale type of ending (Or Beginning….)”….and they lived happily and …..”
But beware it is extremely important to constantly see if relationship is on an equal footing. It has to be give and take together. Remember there is such a thing as perfect match, but no guarantees that the match will stay perfect automatically.
Unfortunately relationships might not stick to the schedule of all stages mentioned above (May Differ from Person to Person). You need to nurture the relations on daily basis in a very down to earth manner to make our dreams come true. Documented here are the some of the common mistakes we tend to make in our relationships.
1. Taking a plunge without courtship.
2. Exiting right after damp squib honeymoon.
3. The relationship has turned sour, but no divorce.
[You can compare these stages with your experiences of real life. You may or may not agree with me on the above. But these are my actual experiences with the Indian Stock Market as an individual investor. I was referring to the stocks (shares of companies) for which I was attracted and been through (Troughs and Peaks) all the stages above mentioned.]
