Renovated A/C Branch & ATM Launched at MCC Bank Kankanady Branch
Mangaluru: Extreme-Makeover! The Pride of Mangalorean Catholics-The MCC Bank Ltd Launched a newly renovated AC branch and also a New ATM at the Kankanady branch, located on Kankanady Bye-pass road, adjacent to Father Muller Hospital- Mangaluru on Thursday, 12 September 2019. The growth and progress of MCC Bank from a humble beginning in 1912 has been commendable over the years leading to be a strong Urban Co-operative Bank. This growth was possible due to the co-operation of Bank’s beloved members, increased faith of their esteemed customers and professionalism of the Bank staff.
To improve the quality of service rendered to their customers, the Bank has offered an improved banking experience through the technology of core banking. Apart from existing earlier two ATM’s at their branches at Hampankatta and B C Road, on 9 September the third ATM was installed at MCC Bank- Karkal branch, Mahammayi Complex, near Taluk Office, Karkal, including E-Stamping facility; and on 11 September the 4th ATM was installed at MCC Bank- Bajpe branch, D’Cunha Complex, near Bajpe Bus Stand, and today on 12 Sept the 5th ATM and the renovated Branch premises of M.C.C Bank, Kankanady Branch was inaugurated at 9.30 am.
The ATM at the MCC Bank-Kankanady was inaugurated by Louis J. Pinto, President of Mandd Sobhann, and the renovated branch premises was inaugurated by Joseph Sequeira, Prop: M/s Sequeira Engineering Works and blessed by Rev. Fr. Onil D’souza, Director of St. Antony Ashram, Jeppu. The programme was presided by Chairman of the Bank, Anil Lobo, Anil Das, Director of Das Promotions, MCC Board of Directors, among other dignitaries.
Michael D’Souza, Professional Director and the Branch In-Charge Director of the MCC Kankanady branch, in his introductory speech, welcomed the dignitaries and the customers of the Bank. He requested the customers and well wishers of the bank to extend their valuable support for the progress of the bank. Fr. Onil D’Souza, while congratulating the bank for the development in all aspects of Banking, opined that change is a part of life and changes and development requires hard work, risk management and perseverance. He called upon the bank to render customer friendly service with a smile. “To attain success in a business you need to understand the needs of the customer and provide them the best service. And now by adding the ATM facility and a much classy AC branch, this facility will attract more customers and better prospects” added Fr Onil.
Louis J. Pinto, praised the bank for introducing ATM and upgrading the branch into a AC facility in the MCC Kankanady branch. He urged the staff and the customers to work hand-in-hand with the Management of the Bank, which will surely help the Bank to progress in many folds. “In the last 107 years we have seen tremendous growth in MCC Bank, but much more should have been achieved, and for that the support and encouragement is needed. We have seen these days, our hometown banks are forcibly made to merge with other banks from the the North, but MCC Bank will remain untouched by the politicians, since it is a home-grown bank, and has sentiments from the community. Let the support and encouragement remain forever to take MCC Bank to greater heights ” added Pinto.
Anil Das of Das Promotions, being a satisfied customer for over 15 years expressed his satisfaction towards the service of Kankanady branch, and promised to do business with MCC Bank in the future years.. He wished all the very best for the Bank. Anil Lobo, Chairman of the Bank, in his presidential address called upon the customers to use all the services of the Bank and contribute to the progress of the Bank. He emphasized that, M.C.C Bank is not a profit oriented; but, a service oriented bank and hence is committed to give quality service without any charges/burden to the customers.
Anil further said “MCC Bank has won the hearts of young generation with its ‘Vidya Bhavishya’ Students Savings Account Scheme with over 2000 students already signed up, and also has planned various attractive schemes for the future. These schemes will enable to increase the volume of Low Cost Funds. Senior Citizens Card, Pan Card has been already implemented in all branches and E-Stamping facility has been implemented at Hampankatta, Kankanady, Bajpe, B.C.Road, Karkala and Udupi branches. Ever since the new board of the Bank took charge last year, we have come up with several programmes and schemes for the growth of the bank, such as IFSC code, E-stamping, mobile banking, Rupay card, ATMs, staff training and quick loans”
It is learnt that MCC Bank Ltd has the facilities for Lockers, Demand Drafts, RTGS/ NEFT/IMPS, SMS alert service, PAN Card, Senior Citizen card, ATM facility, Mobile Banking and very soon facility for E-Stamping will also be made available in all the branches. The Board of Directors under the leadership of Anil Lobo, has taken charge to manage the Bank with a clear vision to take the Bank to its new heights. The Board implement Continuous Training for Bank Staff, Direct and Quick Vehicle Loans, Renovation of Branch Premises etc. The Loan System has been modified to provide better Credit Facilities to Customers. Home loan at 9.50%, Quick Vehicle Loan at 9.50%, Mortgage Loan, Business Loan, Education Loan and House Renovation Loans will be arranged at low interest rates and in a more simplified way.
