Report says Secret Files of DySP Ganapati deleted, CM and KJ George should Resign – MP Nalin
Mangaluru: “The state government has deleted all the secrets from the late DySP Ganapati’s mobile phone, computer and pen drives. There is a suspicion that many Congress leaders, as well as higher police officers, were mentioned by DySP Ganapati. The Forensic report has clarified that the secrets on Ganapati’s mobile, computer, 16 and 8 GB pen drives have been deleted”, said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel in a press meet held at the BJP office here on August 24.
Addressing the mediapersons MP Nalin said, “According to the Forensic report in the 16 GB pen drive there were 199 files which were deleted. In the 8 GB pen drive, there were 185 files which were deleted, 54 SMS, 73 audio and video files were deleted from the Mobile phone. From the computer 100 e-mails, 145 PDF files, 2699 MS word files and 910 Excel files were deleted.”
MP Nalin further said, “Why were the files deleted? The names of senior State Congress leaders were mentioned in DySP Ganapati’s mobile phone and if those names would be leaked the real face of the government would have been revealed. The Forensic report also reveals that someone had entered the room where DySP Ganapati had committed suicide, this shows that someone has destroyed the evidence by keeping the door latch open. According to the eye witnesses, the finger print of the fan which DySP Ganapati was hanging was not recorded, which again creates suspicion”.
Nalin also alleged, “In any suicide case the finger prints on the fan will be recorded. Even the belt worn by DySP Ganapati during the time of suicide is not used by police officers which itself indicates that it is a murder and the person was hanged later. The incoming and outgoing phone numbers in DySP Ganapati’s mobile were also deleted. Before committing suicide DySP Ganapati had mentioned the names of the then Home Minister K J George and two higher Police officers. If their phone would have been checked the reality would have been revealed. Such a government has no right to continue. K J George and CM Siddaramaiah should resign. If the CM has any morality, he should re-investigate the DySP Ganapati case. People of the state do not have trust in the Siddaramaiah government, so the BJP demands the resignation of K J George and CM Siddaramaiah.”
