Retired St Aloysius College Teacher Prof B S Raman No More
Mangaluru: With deep sadness, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), announces the demise of a great teacher and a noble soul Prof. B.S. Raman. He passed away in his native place in Ooty yesterday night {27 July} after a brief illness. He leaves behind his wife and 2 children.
Prof. Raman served in the Department of Commerce in the College for 35 years from 1960 to 1995. He impacted generations of students with his exemplary teaching and disciplined life. He has written more than 100 books in commerce, management and associated subject. His passionate teaching of accounting has inspired a large number of students and many of them have become Chartered Accountants.
St Aloysius College held a condolence meeting today in which Prof. A. M. Narahari, the Registrar; Rector of St Aloysius Institutions, Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vaz SJ; Dr Suresh Poojary, Dean of Faculty of Commerce paid rich tribute to the noble soul of Prof. B.S. Raman.
There will be a public condolence Meeting organized by St Aloysius College, SACAA and former students on 1st August 2018 in Eric Mathais Hall, St Aloysius College.
