Return of Resigned DC Senthil to the City to Deliver a Talk on ‘Gandhi & Nationalism’
Mangaluru: All you hard-core fans of former Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Sasikanth Senthil, here is a chance for you all to have close encounters with Senthil again, when he is returning back to Mangaluru to grace a occasion as the Chief guest and also deliver a talk on the occasion. It is learnt that Samadarshi Vedike Mangaluru and ‘Gandhi – 150’ Birth Anniversary celebrations committee, will have a flagging off ceremony of ‘Gandhi – 150’ Chintana Yatre on 2 October 2019 at 9.30 am, which will be held at the Sri Brahma Baidarkala Garody Kshethra premises, Kankanady-Mangaluru. Special pooja will also be offered at the Gandhi shrine which is installed inside Garody.
Following the pooja a symposium will be held at Sarvamangala auditorium located inside Garody premises. And the organizing committee has invited former DC Sasikanth Senthil to be as the Chief Guest, where he will also speak on the topic “Bapu (Gandhi) and Nationalism”. Dr Jagadish Koppa, a litterateur will speak on ‘Bapu – Guiding Light of Humanity’.
As per the committee press release, the programme has been organized in collaboration of ‘Samudaya’ Mangaluru, Bharathiya Janakala Samiti, Prajna Counselling Centre, Kannada Dalit Sangharsha Samiti, and Apna Desh Volunteers Forum, along with few other organizations and institutions.
