Review Meeting on Safety of Students on June 26 in Puttur
Mangaluru: The recent incident at Trasi, in which death of 8 school children were killed in a road accident, has once again reiterated the need to carefully review the safety of school children, said Dakshina Kannada district Superintendent of Police Bhushan in a press release.
It is the joint responsibility of the school management, parents, vehicle drivers, the RTO, the Police Department and the district administration to ensure the safety of students while they travel to school as they are the future of our nation.
In this connection, a meeting will be held at Bantara Bhavan, Kombettu, near Puttur Stadium, Puttur on 26 June, 2016 at 11 am. Assistant Commissioner of Puttur, RTO of Puttur and Mangaluru, the Deputy Commissioner, KSRTC – Mangaluru and Puttur divisions, Deputy Director of Public Instruction, Block Education Officers of Puttur, Sullia, Bantwal and Belthangady, the president of Private Bus Owners’ Association, parents, vehicle drivers and school managements are invited to participate in the meeting.
SP Bhushan also requested the public to participate in the meeting and give valuable suggestions, which will help the concerned authorities to improve traffic rules.
