London, Jan 17 (IANS) Singer songwriter Ricky Wilson has quit TV reality show “The Voice”.
The singer confirmed that he has no plans to return to the singing competition once it moves over to ITV, which bought the format after outbidding BBC.
“This is my last one anyway, yeah. I was going to bow out gracefully,” mirror.co.uk quoted Wilson as saying.
“I don’t think ITV would want me. They would want to have a totally new show,” he added.
However, he says he has a plan for ITV to improve the show.
“ITV when you get the format, one of your other channels – like ITV 2 – should have a show on at the same time where you can’t see the contestants sing,” he said.
He added that ITV will have their work cut out to compete with this series, saying: “The BBC are making it as hard as possible for them by making this one the best.”
