Rider dies in Bike-truck collision, vehicles catch fire

Kundapur: A motorbike rider was killed and vehicles caught fire on NH 66  near Shiroor during the wee hours of Wednesday, November 23 after a collision between a Truck and motorbike.

The deceased has been identified as Lohit Shetty (35) resident of Kunjalli near Byndoor.

According to sources, Lohit Shetty was on his way to Shiroor from Byndoor, a truck coming from opposite direction hit Lohit’s bike. Lohit was killed on the spot, due to the collision both the vehicles caught fire. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire. Both vehicles were completely gutted in the fire.

Byndoor Police registered the case.
