‘Rise As One’ St Aloysius Evening PUC holds 52nd Annual Sports Day
Mangaluru: ‘Rise as One’ -The much awaited 52nd Annual Sports Meet of SAEPUC was held at the St Aloysius Gonzaga grounds on 25 November 2018 with great zeal, excitement and fun-filled atmosphere.
The Chief Guest for the day was Mrs Divya D’Souza, Life Catalyst and NLP Therapist, took the salute of the impressive March Past of the students coupled with some stirring marching music. In her speech, she emphasized on the importance of sports in a student’s life and declared the Sports Meet 2018 open. Rev. Fr Melwin Mendonca SJ, Principal of SAEPUC presided over the function.
Students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the torch run and an oath taking ceremony was conducted to the students. Once the track and field events started, the air was filled with cheering and encouragement for the young athletes.
The valedictory programme was graced by Mrs Amitha Shetty, HOD, Arts Department, SAPUC. In her speech, she congratulated everyone on their active participation and declared the sports meet 2018 close. Rev. Fr John Lang Bosco SJ, Finance Officer, presided over the function. The winners were given prizes during the prize distribution ceremony. Dr Pradeep M, Coordinator of SAEPUC and Mr Joseph Prem Saldanha, Convener of the Sport Meet were present on the dais.
