Riyadh: Aangann Kutam (Aangann Konknechem Riyadh) celebrated Pask Porob on April 9, at Samaha Farm. The celebration started with the reading of the Easter message of true love of Our Saviour by Saritha D’Souza Palimar. The Word of God was read by Everest D’Souza and the prayer was conducted by Alfred Fernandes Sirsi.
Prayer of the Faithful was read by Cathrine Mathias Pernal, Stephen Paula Mumbai, Anita Shalini Mudarangadi, Pradeep Mathias and Veena Dias Bondel.
The President of AKR Glen Roshan Lobo welcomed the gathering and thanked all the Konkani people for their continuous support to the organization and making every event a huge success.
The Kutam were entertained to scintillating dance performances by Stevina D’Souza Palimar, Caron Reena D’Souza Mudarangadi and Alisha Corderio, Venur. The foot-tapping music provided entertainment for a great evening in the background of great ambiance. Games were conducted by Roshan Lobo for all the children and adults alike.
Konkanni Musical Album “HERO – Only Yours” by Dony Correa was released by AKR president Roshan Lobo, Carol D’Souza, Naveen D’Souza, Gerald D’Souza and Arun D’Souza. Dony Correa was the runner up at the 2008 Gulf Voice of Mangalore and also compered the Gulf voice of Mangalore semi finals, 2012 in Riyadh.
After a sumptuous dinner the kutam was engaged in playing Housie-housie which was conducted by Marcel D’Cunha Mumbai.
Marcel D’Cunha, Paladlka compered the entire programme with utmost grace and entertained the guests till the end.
