RKM Holds Month-long Swacchata Jan Samparka Abhiyan
Mangaluru: Daily Campaigns of Ramakrishna Mission Swacchata Jan Samparka Abhiyan were carried out at various places in Mangalore from 1st January to 31st January. About 24 Abhiyans were carried out by 24 different groups attended by more than 2000 people. Till date 1500 people have registered their names for Pot-compost with the Ashram.
In association with Netravathi Lions Club & Leo club at Yeyyadi, District Small Scale Industries Association hosted a Jan Sampark Abhiyan. Jyothi Shetty & Mandakini Upadhyaya were guests. Sadananda Upadhyaya coordinated the programme.
Pot Compost Demo was held at D K Zilla Panchayat Netravathi Hall. Umanath Kotekar, Co-ordinator of the Abhiyan speaking on the occasion told, “If every Govt. employee manages his household waste in his house using the pot-compost method he can motivate others too in this regard.” Naveen Konaje anchored the programme.
Jan Sampark Abhiyan programme was held at Subrahmanya Sabha Sadana at Karangalpady. Coordinator Srikanth Rao, President of Subrahmanya Sabha Harshakumar Kedige & other members were present.
Abhiyan was arranged for the members of Havyaka Sabha at Sri Bharathi College in Nanthoor. Dr Rajendra Prasad spoke about significance of cleanliness. Balasubramanya, President of Havyaka Sabha & many others attended the programme.
Special programme was arranged for the staff & employees of Kadri Akashavani. Assistant Director of Akashavani, Ushalatha Sarapady was the guest. Umanath Kotekar spoke about the Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan. Shyamparasad anchored the programme.
Programme was arranged at Adarsha Friend’s Hall in Chilimbi about wet waste management. President Mithun Gautham, Ajith Vasanth and many other youths attended the programme. Vitthaldas Prabhu coordinated the programme.
Wet waste management demo was held for the doctors & staff of Dr K S Hegde Medical College at Deralakatte. Dr Sateesh Bhandary, Vice Chancellor of Nitte University was the chief guest. Dr Satish Rao briefed about the Swacchata Abhiyan. Sachin Shetty gave the demonstration of pot compost. Dr Shashikumar coordinated the programme.
Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Mahila Okkoota hall in Urwa Stores. Chanchala Tejomaya, President of Mangalore Taluk Mahila Okkoota, Anuradha, Shailaja Satish and many other homemakers attended the programme.
Wet waste management demo was held at Lee well Heights Apartments in Mulihithlu. Umanath Kotekar urged the flat owners to start using the pot compost to manage their house hold waste. Paton D’souza anchored the programme.
In association with PaduPanambur Village Panchayat, the Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Village Panchayat office. Village Panchayat officials, Anganavadi workers, Health officials and members of many other groups & NGOs participated in the programme. Village Panchayat President Mohan Das, Manjula G, PDO Anitha Catherine, Zilla Panchayat Member Vinod Kumar Bollur, Jeevan Prakash Kamarottu and many others attended the workshop.
Pot Compost demo was held at Hampankatta LIC office. Raviraj, Senior Manager spoke on the occasion. Sachin Shetty gave the demo. Praveen Shetty welcomed the gathering.
Wet waste management demo was held at Sri Mahalingeshwar English Medium School at Idya near Surathkal. Satish Sadananda spoke about cleanliness and its significance. Pundalik Hosabettu, Prof. Rajamohan Rao, Satish Rao Idya and many others were present.
Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Balabhavana in Mannagudda in association with Rotary Club. Jayakumar, Harish Shetty, Raghavendra Nellikatte and others were present.
Wet waste management demo was held at Sri Radhakrishna Mandir in Urwa for the members of Art of Living Team. Sadashiva Kamath, Geetha Vishukumar and many other interested attended the programme.
Pot Compost demonstration was held at Koragajja Hall in Padavinangady. Sachin Shetty gave the demo. Jayalaxmi Chandrahasa, G R Prasad, Director of Pranava Charitable Trust were chief guests.
Jan Sampark Abhiyan and Pot compost demo was held at Anganavadi centre of Chitrapura Mogaveera Sabha. President Madhava Suvarna, Prof. Krishnamurthi were present. Satish Sadananda coordinated the programme.
In association with Vidyadayini Rural development and Agriculture Training Institute, Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Sri Vishnumoorthi Temple in Kulai. MCC Councillor Ganesh Hosabettu was the chief guest. Rajendran, President of Spanada Friends Circle, Balakrishna Rai & many others were present.
Pot Compost Demo was held for the members of JCI at Virat Auditorium in Surathkal. Lokesh Rai, President, Balakrishna H, Prof. Rajamohan Rao, Prakash Shetty & others attended the programme. Satish Sadananda & Umanath Kotekar coordinated the programme.
For the members of Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samiti, pot compost demo was held at Panduranga Bhajana Mandira in Kulai. Bharat Kumar, Tejpal, Harish Kotian and others attended.
Sampark Abhiyan was held for the members of Nagarika Samithi at Sri Venkataramana Higher Primary School. Bharath Shetty, President, M Venkat Rao, Ganesh Hosabettu, Jayashree & many others attended the programme.
Sampark Abhiyan was held at Sri Krishna Bhajana Mandira. Satish Sadananda, coordinator of Swacch Surathkal Abhiyan spoke on the occasion. Surendra, Sridhara & others attended the programme.
Pot Compost Demo was held at Mangalore City Corporation. Madhu Manohar of MCC stressed on the importance of pot compost. Suresh Shetty spoke about cleanliness. Nallur Sachin Shetty gave the demo. Representatives from about 75 self-help groups attended the programme.
Pot Compost Demo was held for teachers in Vidyadayini Higher Primary School at Idya. Umadevi M, Prof. Rajamohan Rao were chief guests. Umanath Kotekar & Satish Sadananda were resource persons.
Jan Sampark Abhiyan was held at Sri Raghavendra Math in Hosabettu. Jayashankara, Jayachandra Hatwar were chief guests. Harini Jayashankara anchored the programme.
