USA: Volunteering is an act of leadership. This has been exemplified by Rohan and Bradly D’Souza for their passion for serving in their community. The D’Souza brothers have been volunteering at Western & Southern Open (W&S) since 2008.

The D’Souza’s volunteer as a family at the W&S Open. Rohan and Bradly volunteer as ‘Ballperson’ there parents Dancy and Harold volunteer as ‘Ballperson Lounge Monitor’.

The Cincinnati Masters is the second largest summer tennis event in the U.S. after the U.S. Open, as its men’s portion is one of nine elite Masters 1000 tournaments on The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour and its women’s event is one of five Premier 5 events on the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Tour.

Rohan and Bradly were ballperson at The 2016 W&S Open of men’s and women’s tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts from August 15-21, 2016. Roger Federer and Serena Williams were the two-time defending champions in Men’s and Women’s singles titles, but neither of them defended their titles. They withdrew due to a knee injury and shoulder inflammation respectively.

The D’Souza brothers were on Center Courts as ballperson for Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, David Ferrer, Grigor Dimitrov, Marin Cilic, Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep, Sloane Stephens, Karolina Pilskova and others. Marin Cilic won the Men’s singles and Karolina Pilaskova won the Women’s singles Cincinnati Title.

Bradly 21 and Rohan 18 are the sons of Dancy and Harold D’Souza, a native of Bajpe, Mangaluru. Rohan a rising tennis player is focused on playing on Center Courts one day. Rohan and Bradly have come a long way in their journey of freedom to live the American dream.
